What Are Lash extensions?

Lash extensions are applied to your natural lashes to lengthen and thicken them, enhancing the overall appearance of your lash line.

What are lash extensions made of?

Eyelash extensions can be crafted from animal hair or synthetic fibers. Our studio exclusively uses high-quality extensions from PBT synthetic fibers, which are lightweight, flexible, and closely resemble natural lashes in both look and feel.

Do you offer Mink lashes, Faux Mink and Silk Lashes?

We are a cruelty-free studio, we do not use mink lashes. Real mink lashes come from Siberian or Chinese mink tails. While they are lighter and resemble human hair, they carry a higher risk of allergic reactions and do not maintain their curl, requiring frequent curling at home.

Most reputable companies use PBT fibers for eyelash extensions, including Faux Mink and Silk extensions. The main differences between them are the taper (uniform or tapered at the end) and the finish (matte or glossy). However, there are no industry standards for calling extensions "Faux Mink" or "Silk," and these terms are often used for marketing purposes, with different companies applying them differently.

Do lash extensions damage your natural lashes?

When applied and cared for properly, eyelash extensions are completely safe and will not damage your natural lashes. They should never cause pain, poke into the skin, stick together, or feel heavy.

Our goal is for you to feel beautiful with your new lashes, and we will do our best to meet your desired look. However, the health of your natural lashes is our top priority. We will carefully select the appropriate length and thickness for your extensions to ensure your lashes stay healthy.

How long do eyelash extensions last?

Proper care and hygiene are essential for long-lasting lash extensions. Lash growth cycles are also important; some are slower or faster than others.

Fill appointments are recommended every 2-3 weeks. During fill appointments, we will remove and replace all overgrown lashes, lifted lashes, those that have changed direction, and/or that have fallen out.

How long are LUB appointments?

We never compromise on quality. We don’t count the lash extensions we apply, nor do we only apply lashes to half of your natural lashes. Our goal is to apply extensions to every natural lash for the fullest, most beautiful result.

For the volume technique, we don't use pre-manufactured fanned extensions. Instead, we handcraft each fan during application to ensure perfect attachment at the base, promoting good retention and a comfortable feel.

A new set of extensions typically takes 2 to 3 hours, while fills take 1.25 to 2 hours. We take extreme care with every service, and with proper aftercare, your lashes will stay flawless until your next appointment.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

Be prepared to remain still with your eyes closed for the duration of the appointment. This may last for a few hours depending upon the service.

Before you arrive, remove all eye makeup and take out contact lenses. If you must wear contacts, make sure to bring a contact case; a contact solution can be provided.

Avoid caffeine for at least 3 hours before your appointment to help avoid twitching. You can bring your own earphones and listen to your own playlist, favorite podcast, and audiobooks.

How do I know if I need a fill or full appointment?

For a fill, clients must have at least 40% of their lash extensions remaining.

Clients with less than 40% of the lash extensions remaining must book a full set. Full set appointments are recommended every 4+ weeks. This is a complete lash rejuvenation.

How do I take care of my lash extensions?

Wash your eyelash extensions daily, focusing on the roots and skin between the lashes to maintain hygiene and prolong their lifespan.
Avoid direct water on your lashes in the shower.
Do not use cotton swabs to clean your lashes. Use a synthetic brush instead.
Blot your lashes gently and let them air dry. Finish by brushing with a spoolie.
Avoid touching, pulling, or rubbing your lashes.
Do not use mascara on extensions.
Sleep on your back and consider using a silk pillowcase to reduce friction (if possible).
Avoid oily products on or near your lashes.
Use only water-based makeup remover to clean around your eyes.
Stay away from excess heat sources, like ovens, lighters, and open flames, as they can damage the extensions.

Will I have an allergic reaction?

We use premium quality professional-grade adhesive. Allergic reactions are rare, but can occur even after wearing extensions for some time.

If you had an allergic reaction in the past it is most likely that you will have it again. We do not recommend this service to any clients that have experienced an allergic reaction in the past.

Symptoms may include swollen eyelids, itchiness and redness. This usually occurs within the first 24-hours after application. If you experience any adverse reactions following your appointment, contact your doctor immediately.

Can I book a fill if I currently have eyelash extensions from another salon?

There are so many factors to consider when we customize eyelash extensions for each client. For example, the thickness, the length, the curl and the styling. These details all play a big role in the end result. It is also important to use the right technique.

We have experienced on the past that clients from other salons come to us with the following issues:

Eyelash extensions that have been applied with poor application techniques
Length and thickness are too long or heavy for the natural lashes to hold safely
Improper styling not favoring the client’s natural features
For this reason, we recommend removing lash extensions from other salons and start with a new set.
